Leo Burnett Beirut has won ‘Agency of the Year’ at the recent Golden Drum awards held in Slovenia last week making them the first Middle Eastern agency to win such a title at an international awards show.

Although not exactly Cannes, the Golden Drum is an Eastern European competition that’s been running for 16 years and this year the show managed to attract 2474 entries from 391 agencies in 41 countries.

At the forefront of Leo’s wins is the Khede Kasra campaign picking up Grand Prix in outdoor and media, along with a Gold in PR. The campaign has already won Gold at the Lynx, a PR award at Cannes, and a Silver in the Loerie Awards in South Africa.

Their Stop the Suffering campaign for Pert Plus also picked up a Gold Watch in the Integrated category and a Silver in TV, while the agency’s campaign for animal charity BETA won Gold in the print category.

It’s great to see anyone from the region taking part and representing, and to win ‘Agency of the Year’ as well. A big congratulations Leo Burnett Beirut *insert applause here…
